I Undid
Orion's Belt

A MYTHIC ROCK OPERA BY
MICHAELA FOSTER MARSH

Welcome

Thank you for visiting this private page, created to share materials related to I Undid Orion's Belt — a mythological and psychological rock opera inspired by Greek tragedy, rebirth, and the timeless tension between love and control.

I'm Michaela Foster Marsh — a musician, author, and founder of Starchild Charity. Over the course of my creative life, I've released three albums, authored memoir and fiction, performed internationally (including two private concerts for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II), and led award-winning humanitarian work in Uganda.

But Orion is the project closest to my soul.

Born from an album I recorded over 25 years ago, I Undid Orion's Belt has been reborn as a libretto and immersive stage concept. It's been praised for its poetic vision, emotional depth, and mythic scale. I recently visited Athens and Sicily to explore potential partners and opportunities to develop and stage Orion in Greece and Italy.

On this page, you'll find: - the libretto - musical samples - the pitch deck - treatment and synopsis - contact details

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you'd prefer materials by email or wish to discuss anything further.

About the Creator

Michaela Foster Marsh is a Scottish singer, author, and founder of the Starchild Charity. Her work spans music, literature, theatre, and trauma healing. Known for turning silence into song and grief into art, her memoir Starchild was praised for its rare honesty and emotional clarity.

Her creative practice often emerges from personal sorrow — including the loss of her beloved adopted brother Frankie, both parents, close friends, and her life partner, actor Rony Bridges. Through this depth of loss, Michaela has forged a body of work that speaks of healing, resilience, and the quiet power of creative redemption.

Selected Works

  • Starchild: A memoir of adoption, race, and family. A deeply personal journey to Uganda to find her adopted brother's birth family, 18 years after his death. Now in production as a documentary film directed by BAFTA Award-winner Alex McCall.
  • The Matoke Tree: A literary novel of love, identity, and belonging across continents. Though fictional, it eerily mirrors truths uncovered during Michaela's real-life search in Uganda.
  • Sunflowers at Christmas: A forthcoming memoir of love, loss, and spiritual co-creation, written after the death of her life partner.
  • Orion: A Mythological Rock Opera: A libretto based on her album I Undid Orion's Belt, blending myth, music, and transformation. In development for stage and immersive formats.
